Development
Our New ClubhouseWe are delighted with our new Clubhouse and Changing Rooms (pictured below) which were officially opened on March 3rd.The new buidling contains the Maltings Meadow Sports Club, run by The Bungay & District Sports Association, including a licensed bar with Sky Television, which is open to everyone, with no membership requirements.

Multi Use Games Area
Yet more good news for Bungay's sports' community arrived last Friday when WREN landfill tax credit scheme announced the approval of a £15,000 grant towards a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA).
The new floodlit, artificial grass, sports project which is estimated to cost in the region of £100,000 is planned to be completed this spring in time for the new tennis season.
Jon Fuller, Chairman of the B&DSA and of Bungay Town F.C., said: 'The artificial grass surface rather than simply a macadam type tennis court means that the MUGA will have dual use for both football and tennis.' 'It will be available for hire to anyone who would like to use it, under a booking system, in fact the more it is used the better. We see this as a further step to make sport a focal point in our community.' 'It will be build next to the new car park, social and changing facility so there will be no excuse not to exercise.'
Bungay Town Football Club will be significant users of the new facility especially for their youth coaching sessions. Paddy Linfield, Bungay Town's Director of Football, said: 'We see this grass surface as a massive investment in our community coaching programme. All those local schools who do not have any opportunity to run after school outdoor sports sessions in the dark winter months will be able to use this facility. Instead of continually wearing out our match pitches with Saturday morning coaching sessions we will be able to train every evening with excellent lights and a great surface for teaching ball skills to youngsters.'
The project has currently been supported by Bungay Town Council, Ditchingham Parish Council, Bungay Community Fund (Suffolk Market Town's Regeneration Budget), Bungay Rotary Club, Bungay Golf Club's Captain's Charity (2004) and WREN
